Recently, the residences of Kansas City Chiefs players Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes were targeted in robberies, attracting significant public and police attention. The incidents occurred in the same week, raising suspicions about a possible connection between them and leading to the intervention of the FBI due to the notoriety of the victims and the modus operandi employed.
The first robbery took place at Patrick Mahomes' home in Belton, Missouri, during the midnight of October 6. Although the police responded immediately, there were no signs of forced entry. Mahomes resides in this property with his wife Brittany and their children, and they had recently moved into this custom-built residence featuring amenities like a private football field and a swimming pool.
The following day, while the Kansas City Chiefs were playing at home, Travis Kelce's residence in Leawood, Kansas, was also robbed. The intruders damaged one of the back doors and managed to take around 20 thousand dollars in cash. Despite the house having security measures, they did not prevent unauthorized access.
The Cass County police and the FBI are investigating the possible relationship between both robberies, considering the possibility that they are the work of an organized gang operating in the area. This situation has led to increased surveillance in residential areas and collaboration with security agencies to protect other public figures and celebrities who may be at risk.
So far, neither Travis Kelce nor Patrick Mahomes have made statements regarding the matter. It is expected that the enhanced security and the joint investigation will provide new leads on these concerning events.
